The accreditation of our smoking analyses as well as the measurement of ignition propensity (LIP test) according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) stands for the worldwide recognition of our competence and quality. The continuously evolving established quality management system fulfills the requirements of DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025.

Nationally and internationally acknowledged

The high quality standard realized at ASL is based on its excellently qualified employees and the technically most modern equipment. Through the membership of the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) in the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), our accreditation is also recognized nationally and internationally.

Our history

1990

KG-ASL-Analytik Service Labor GmbH & Co. is founded with the objective to deliver high-quality analysis for as many segments of the tobacco interested parties as possible.

1992

On demand of the German regulators and tobacco industry, the company was selected and nominated as one of the German umpire laboratories to support in case of inconsistencies.

2002

Due to the introduction of the first European Union’s tobacco product directive (EU TPD) KG ASL - Analytik Service Labor GmbH & Co. successfully decided to apply for DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation to ensure that the data generated are accepted by all interested parties within the European Union.

2011

KG ASL - Analytik Service Labor GmbH & Co. achieved successful DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation for ignition propensity assessments (LIP-Tests) in accordance to ISO 12863 and ASTM E 2187.

2013

KG ASL - Analytik Service Labor GmbH & Co. remain independent and is renamed to ASL Analytic Service Laboratory GmbH.

2017

Approved laboratory according to §2 TPD based on directive 2014/40/EU of the European Parliament dated 3rd April, 2014.
